Apples are all around us. Our state is known for growing a huge amount of apples. Wenatchee is even considered our apple capital of the world! It seems like everyone is fascinated with apples but how do apples come to be? What are the different stages and types of apples? In this WebQuery you will find out the different stages of an apple and the different types. So what are you waiting for click on the Task button and lets get started!


Task

Use the Internet to find the different stages of an apple

Use the internet to find the different types of apples and their  use  and complete the data chart.


Using your data chart write a riddle for the type of apple you chose. Then , you will draw and color in the apple on the other side of the paper where you wrote your riddle.

Process


Activity 1:

 Click and Print out this worksheet.
Cut out the pieces and glue them in order. Remember our Apple life cycle is on the board you can look at it for clues.
Use the following words : Seed, Bud, Blossom, Apple, Apple Tree.



Activity 2:
Print out the Activity Sheet Types of Apples
Go to website named  Washington Apples
Click on each picture of the apples on your list and fill out the chart with the information.

Activity 3:
With the information on the types of apples that you have, you now have to create a riddle to help us guess what type of apple you are. Make sure that you use all  the information from the chart when creating your riddle.

On the backside of the riddle, draw and color the apple that you have chosen for your riddle.
